š³ļøāš Parade kicks off Sat, June 14 at 10:30 AMāthe march starts on 2nd & B St and finishes at Central Park.
š Stay for the Pride Celebration 11 AMā5 PM in Central Park: live DJs, food trucks & family-friendly fun
š Parking is free all day ONLY at the Kiku Crossing Garage (400 East 5th St.)


š¦Transportation Budget Greenlight
San Mateo Countyās Transportation Authority just OKād a $187.1 million 2026 budget aimed at unclogging commutes and funding safer ways to get around.
Expect fresh bike lanes, smoother Hwy 101 fixes and safer crossings ā plus $300K for a Grand Boulevard revamp and $2 million in technical assistance to local agencies, all powered by sales-tax cash proceeds from Measures A / W. More here.

š Hidden Caltrain Station Apartments
A former Caltrain station manager was just sentenced to jail and ordered to repay a restitution bill for secretly converting corners of the Burlingame and Millbrae stations into crash-pad apartments for himself and a Caltrain exāoperations chief ā complete with a kitchen, shower and security cameras.
Despite Caltrain vowing tighter controls, the makeshift apartments still sit idle. Read more here.

āļø Digital Passport Takes Off
TSA just cleared Appleās upcoming iOS 26 Mobile Passport for use at SFO and every major California airport, so your iPhone (or Apple Watch) can double as a Real ID-compliant passport for domestic flights when the software lands this fall.
The digital ID is domestic-only and TSA still advises packing your physical passport, but itās a big step forward with the new Real ID airport requirements ā and keeps pace with Google Walletās own digital passports. More here.

The San Mateo Area Chamber of Commerce runs the annual Best of San Mateo awards to spotlight the top local businesses in San Mateo, Burlingame, Foster City, San Carlos, Belmont, and Redwood City.
All winners are chosen directly by community voting, with last yearās debut drawing more than 22,000 votes. Although we donāt have the room to list all of the winning companies, you can find a few highlights from popular categories below. Congrats to all of the winners!
